I should have reviewed this place a long time ago. 5/5 stars. I live in Calgary and we had no local shops to get Pro-Acryl paints. These guys are the best - prices are competitive, shipping is realistic, and they're quick! I'm writing this now because my local game shops have stopped selling Pro-Acryl (USA-Canada politics - we're caught in the crossfire). I'll be ordering my Monument Hobbies stuff from Hooded Goblin from now on!
Just went to the hooded goblin for the first time and I instantly was greeted by Andrew who was very friendly and made me feel welcomed right away! It's such a fun atmosphere and i will definitely he back :) thanks Andrew !
We recently collaborated with The Hooded Goblin for our daughter’s Book Release Party. It was an incredible success. The space was clean, the staff was extremely helpful, and they even helped us with advertising our event on their social media platforms. Their space is very unique and minimal decor was needed. They even had ambient lighting, and allowed us plenty of time to set up. The highlight was the mocktail and cocktail drinks they created to go with the theme of the event. Thank you Andrew and Staff for a successful event. We will be back! Our guests all enjoyed themselves immensely!
I loved the hooded goblin I was with my friend and we were looking for tapes and my friend got a really good song every breath you take by the police there was so many tapes,records,comics and more they have a bar and dungeon of dragons
Popped in for a drink to be honest. Spoke with the staff and asked a lot of dumb questions about games but the staff was so nice and was patient answering everything. Im not a gamer, but I enjoyed having a drink with friends in the back.
Went here to play some board games and have a bit of food. Food was decent and priced reasonably. Board game selection was more lackluster than most boardgame cafes. The atmosphere was pretty nice but the thing that really soured the evening was being told we were not allowed to bring in our own water because "They sell water there." Next time we will just get glasses of water for free but while I would understand not wanting people to bring drinks in, I think water is an entirely different matter and it is a bit ridiculous to give us trouble for bringing a bottle of water. Edit 1: based on response the bar is not run by the same people as the store. Store is nice. Rating was changed from 2 star to 4 stars.
I placed an order at 1am Wednesday and received my box Today (Thursday) in the early afternoon! Super service and speed and had everything I purchased. Such a smooth and quick turn around. Definately will be buying from here again!
